Quality Policy Statement

Ashdale Lifting Services Ltd is an independent engineering company, formed in 1996 to provide lifting and other engineering services to the Petrochemical, Power, Water and Process Industries in South Wales and the UK in general.

Ashdale Lifting Services has developed long term relationships with all its major clients by providing them with a professional service, where projects are completed on time, cost effectively and with the highest standards of safety and quality.

The company has five main activities:

  1. Manufacture, test and repair of cranes and other lifting plant and equipment.
  2. Hire and supply of lifting plant and equipment
  3. Process plant installation, commissioning and repair
  4. Valve and associated actuator refurbishment (all types up to 2000mm bore)
  5. Machining in all materials (up to 1400mm dia, 4500mm between centres)

All activities are carried out within the framework of BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

Statement of Quality, Safety & Environmental Policy

Ashdale Lifting Services Ltd. is firmly committed to providing products and services that fully meet client requirements and expectations, both stated and implied. Our products and services conform fully to additional company quality standards and the provisions of applicable regulations and legislation.

To give effect to this policy the company operates a comprehensive quality management system, with fully structured and documented procedures to the requirements and accreditation of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 covering all its activities.

Beyond the specific requirements of the applicable Standards, the company will continue to develop its organisational structure, management and quality systems to further increase its effectiveness in meeting its customers' expectations. The company aims for a 'World' standard of excellence in all its activities and strives to consistently review and improve its standards.

The company recognises that to achieve this objective it is necessary to maintain, and further develop, safe working procedures, and a culture of safety amongst the workforce, to ensure the health and safety of both staff and clients and that of any others who may be affected by company activities.

This policy includes:

  • Designation of a company safety officer
  • General Health & Safety training for staff, on joining and then on an on-going basis, both through H&S bulletins and seminar-based training
  • Task specific training e.g. confined space, industrial rope access
  • Development of both generic and task specific risk assessments and method statements
  • Consultation and discussions with clients on non-standard and/or potentially high risk work

The company likewise considers environmental protection to be an essential element of its management system, and is committed to continued improvement of its environmental performance, with the particular objectives of:

  • Preventing the release of any type of harmful vapour or other substance
  • Minimising the production of waste in the course of work
  • Maximising the recycling of unavoidable waste

All employees recognise that they have a responsibility for the achievement of the company's quality policy and associated safety and environmental policies.
